Naegelin Farms

About Us

Naegelin Farms is a fourth generation farm.  It began with Alfred Naegelin who was born and raised in Castroville, Texas.  His mother was the first girl ever to be born in Castroville.  Alfred ranched and farmed peanuts, cotton, and watermelon past the age of 70.

John Naegelin Sr. was the oldest son of Alfred and Emma Naegelin.  He was born in Devine, Texas and moved to Lytle, Texas at the age of thirteen.  John began farming at a young age but took four years off from farming to serve our country in the United States Army during World War II.  He was a rancher and farmed peanuts, cotton, watermelon, and grain for his cattle.

John Naegelin Jr. is the oldest son of John Sr. and Catherine Naegelin.  He was born and raised in Lytle, Texas and began ranching and farming peanuts, watermelon, and grain in 1972.  In 1990 John began farming vegatables and has been doing so ever since.  John now resides on his farm just east of Lytle.
